Rodeo wraps up with Jonas Brothers and Megan Thee Stallion is going on tour
It has been a week, y'all.
RodeoHouston is almost done, and the last several days have taken the most energy. Los Tigres del Norte broke their own record for all-time attendance. Bun B brought out Drake and Ryan Bingham, and I'm not sure any show is going to top that for awhile. Wednesday night, I gave in to the growl that is Nickelback and enjoyed it because it was going to happen, anyway.
Things kick up to fever pitch again Friday when the Jonas Brothers play Rodeo for the first time in more than a decade. If you're going, just know there will be screaming. Lots. Nonstop. Everywhere.
There was also lots of non-Rodeo news. Beyoncé revealed the name of her next album will be "Cowboy Carter" and dropped a line of merch for preorder, including vinyl and T-shirts. The album drops March 29. Then, Megan Thee Stallion dropped a list of cities for her Hot Girl Summer Tour. Yes, she's coming home for a show.
Once Rodeo wraps, I have more fun stuff coming including interviews with Tony winner Patti Lupone, music icon Sheila E. and "Chucky" creator Don Mancini. Keep up with me here or on social media (@joeyguerra).

Meet the ('90s) Flintstones
Remember the live-action "Flintstones" movie from the '90s? It starred John Goodman, Elizabeth Perkins, Rick Moranis, Rosie O'Donnell and probably shouldn't have worked. But it made $342 million worldwide and spawned a second film. And that Elizabeth Taylor cameo! 10 a.m. March 16 at Alamo Drafthouse, 2707 Commercial Center Blvd. Katy; $7; drafthouse.com/houston.
- Turtle power: Make it a movie weekend with your kids and take them to a free screening of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem." The 2023 film features the voices of John Cena and Jackie Chan. And parents will laugh, too. 7 p.m. March 16 at Discovery Green, 1500 McKinney; free.

Fine dining at the Rodeo
Chronicle restaurant critic Alison Cook visited the Ranch Saloon & Steakhouse, a fancy pop-up at RodeoHouston with a menu that includes $44 mini crab tostadas; $52 halfshell oysters; abd a $275 for an A5 Japanese wagyu 12-ounce rib-eye. She seemed impressed. I'll take her word for it. I planned to visit but my wallet had other ideas.
- Talk about a minibar: High Five Mini Bar opens March 29 and is built inside a shipping container. The 126-square-foot bar was inspired by '80s and '90s cartoons and will feature 13 cocktails. Just keep your group small and you'll be fine.
Everything else you need to know
