Texas Supreme Court declines to clarify abortion ban in suit from 20 women who suffered emergencies
The Texas Supreme Court declined to provide relief for nearly two dozen women who sued over the state abortion ban’s emergency exception, rejecting their request to clarify the law despite numerous accounts that it is too broad for doctors to intervene.
Texas law bans all abortions except to save a pregnant person’s life or prevent “substantial impairment of major bodily function.”
