Pickup truck crashes through the wall of iconic Stockton restaurant in hit-and-run collision – A long-running family-owned restaurant in Stockton is devastated after a driver rammed his pickup truck through the wall in a hit-and-run collision. El Rancho Inn Steak & Lobster has been around since 1939. It's seen a lot of history over the decades, but nothing quite like this. According to Stockton police, the collision happened around 12:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15. No arrests have been made. 1 person dead after Fair Oaks apartment fire – One person is dead after an apartment fire in Fair Oaks, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said Tuesday. The fire happened along Primrose Drive near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard. The fire district said it got a call after a carbon monoxide alarm went off. When fire crews arrived, they found a fire next door. A spokesperson for the fire district said crews pulled one person out. The person later died. Sacramento liquor store thieves walk off with thousands in liquor under their skirts – Several family-owned liquor stores in Sacramento are coming together in an attempt at finding the people they say are stealing thousands of dollars in alcohol. They said they're being targeted by women who come in wearing long skirts and are hiding cases of liquor in them. Many of the thefts have been caught on camera.
