Spring may seem far off, but it's not really.
For the League City Parks and Recreation department, it's time to register for sports and recreation.
It's cold in the winter, and its easy to feel sedentary, but signing up for any of these classes and sessions might make you feel energized by the possibilities. Registration opens Jan. 10.
We see blood, sweat and tears on TV during the U.S. Open, or in the Summer Olympics. I always found it fascinating and awe-inspiring, but not all athletics have to be that painful.
Maybe your child just wants to learn how to swim and float, or wants to look cool in a pair of Vans learning how to skateboard. The city's spring schedule has all that and more.
And for adults who have wondered what all the pickleball fuss is about, the city is holding sessions for beginners and seasoned players.
Mark your calendars, and find out more here how you can start planning for your own spring training.
