Which Houston-area teams are left in the state title hunt?
Chron sports editor Josh Criswell:
Two local high school football teams have a chance to secure a state championship this weekend. Perennial powerhouse North Shore, ranked No. 1 in Class 6A, will face Duncanville in the 6A Division I title game for the fifth time since 2018 on Saturday. The Mustangs won the first three meetings, with Duncanville emerging victorious last year. Summer Creek will play DeSoto for the 6A Division II crown, as the Bulldogs look to become the first Humble ISD team to win a state title in football.
