Lowe's to open first-ever Houston outlet store in Champions Forest soon.

Lowe's, one of the largest home improvement retailers will be opening its first outlet store just minutes from the Cy-Fair area. 

This new Lowe's Outlet Store location is roughly 36,000 square feet and will open this Friday in Champions Forest. It will offer up to 75 percent off scratch-and-dent appliances, patio furniture, grills and other items.

If you are planning on making a pit stop to find your new appliances or furniture this Friday, Lowe's store manager Tyler Strickland said that customers should anticipate a crowd at the grand opening event on Oct. 20.

This new outlet store will be the first in the Houston-area, joining a nearby location in Irving, Texas. 

Strickland said discounts start at 30 percent off and go up to 75 percent.

ABC's 'Extreme Makeover' puts out casting call in Houston, and your Cy-Fair home could be next.

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is looking for applicants for its next season. ABC is doing a reboot of its popular home makeover show and wants Houston homeowners and renters to apply.
