Growth is still coming. More than 3,500 new homes announced in Montgomery County this week.
More than 3,500 homes are coming to Montgomery County in the next year—and that's just what's been unveiled in the past week.
It seems like every week, a new development ranging from townhomes to country-themed master planned communities is announced in Montgomery County. The latest development is a bit different than what typically makes headlines. An estimated 3,000 manufactured or mobile homes are coming to the county in the next year, with more than 1,200 coming to the Spring Branch Crossing development.
With affordability still a hot-button issue, manufactured homes give residents the option to buy instead of renting, Conroe developer Mike Stoeker said. Demand for manufactured homes is growing, said Wes Miller, senior research associate with Texas A&M University's Texas Real Estate Research Center.
In Willis, 1,426 acres will soon convert to more than 450 large single-family lots designed for a life in the woods. And more than 200 new homes are underway in a Magnolia community that will have 5,000 total at completion. Read about that new development here.
