4.1 magnitude earthquake reported in Sacramento County – A preliminary magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck Sacramento County, Wednesday. The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake struck around 9:30 a.m. about three miles away from Isleton. It's near Rio Vista and Bethel Island, California. A few people reported feeling it as far north as Lincoln and as far south as San Jose. Many people got a ShakeAlert on their phones. There are no immediate reports of damage. City of Sacramento asks judge to dismiss 'deeply flawed' lawsuit from district attorney – The city of Sacramento is calling on a judge to dismiss a lawsuit from the county's district attorney that alleged they have failed to address the homeless crisis and keep people safe. In a news release, city officials called the lawsuit “deeply flawed," adding that it would only be a “staggering expense to taxpayers” and a drain on resources. Court documents show the city is also claiming it's immune from liability for all claims asserted by the DA. Woman rescued from San Joaquin River after crash has died – A woman rescued from the San Joaquin River has died, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office. The woman died Monday, nearly a week after being pulled out of the river following a crash. Her five-year-old daughter survived. On Oct. 10, a woman and her daughter crashed into the San Joaquin River in Vernalis. For unknown reasons, the woman's sports utility vehicle rolled over from the Airport Way overcrossing, went down the embankment, hit a tree and crashed into the river.
