  Rocklin parents concerned over school board president's callout for Christ-centered parents – Parents are voicing concerns after the president of the Rocklin Unified School District school board made a controversial post on social media, that called out to Christ-centered parents. Parents said the Rocklin community is known for being diverse, and they feel this is excluding a large portion of the families in their community. In the post, Julie Hupp, school board president, calls on "as many Christ-centered, family-focused parents" to apply for new curriculum and policy committees. Thousands of PG&E customers may see power outages during Fire Weather Watch – A Fire Weather Watch issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) from Tuesday evening until Wednesday evening may cause up to 8,000 PG&E customers across seven counties to lose power. According to PG&E, the potential power shutoff is expected to affect customers in Colusa County, Glenn County, Lake County, Napa County, Shasta County, Tehama County and Yolo County. Man sitting on sidewalk hit, killed by car involved in Modesto crash – Police have launched an investigation after a deadly accident in Modesto. The Modesto Police Department said the accident happened around 7 p.m. Monday on Crows Landing Avenue near Amador Avenue. Two cars collided and one of the cars left the road and hit a man sitting on the sidewalk. The man died at the scene.
