Photo: CBRE LyondellBasell inks lease in Williams Tower Companies are in decision making mode on their real estate. In a major win for Uptown, LyondellBasell will move from its longtime home in its namesake tower in downtown Houston by 2025. The new 318,504-square-foot lease in Williams Tower is the latest of several major corporate relocations announced in Houston in recent weeks and is the largest yet in 2023. The global chemical company will occupy 15 floors of the 64-story building, the tallest in Uptown and among the tallest in Texas, for its U.S. regional headquarters. "The decision (to move to Williams Tower) is due to the company's new office work landscape, which has changed dramatically over the past few years ― including the adoption of a more flexible work policy," a Lyondell spokesperson said in a statement.  The deal will help fill vacancy in the West Loop/Galleria submarket, which had a 26 percent office vacancy rate in the first quarter, according to commercial real estate firm CBRE.   Katherine Feser Real estate reporter katherine.feser@houstonchronicle.com Residential   The Woodlands' priciest listing has everything, except a buyer The palatial estate was purchased in 2016.
