| For her efforts in leading Tompkins to the state tournament, outside hitter Cindy Tchouangwa is the All-Greater Houston Volleyball Player of the Year. Tchouangwa finished her final prep campaign with 616 kills, averaging 4.5 per set. She reached double-digit kills in all but two of the best-of-three matches she competed in and posted a .392 hitting percentage. "It was so much fun, and I enjoyed every single moment," Tchouangwa said. "I feel like, at times, it could have been a little stressful, but I had my teammates to fall back on. I feel like it was really light-hearted, and we were just having fun, honestly, since we hadn't been to state before." Read the full feature story here. More volleyball superlatives Dominant Highlander duo: The Woodlands seniors Claire DeWine and Molly Tuozzo were named Setter of the Year and Libero of the Year, respectively, after leading the Highlanders back to the state tournament. Heavy-handed hitter: Cypress Ranch senior Bianna Muoneke was selected Hitter of the Year after posting more than 800 kills and leading the Mustangs to the District 16-6A championship. She will continue her career at Texas A&M. Coaching prowess: Allison Merrell earned Coach of the Year honors after guiding Tompkins to new heights.
