TikTok adds an epilepsy warning to photosensitive videos

TikTok has become the first platform to take a step in helping people who have epilepsy avoid potentially dangerous content. The app was already warning creators if their content contained flashing lights and colors that could trigger seizures, and now this type of content will be flagged in the feed and users will have the option to opt-out of viewing such content.

The feature was paused in 2017 due to controversies over who got verified, but now the company announced that it will relaunch it in 2021.
