For nearly 60 years, The Young Americans has been touring the world and impacting the performing arts community on a global scale through its music, performances, and educational programs and services. Its impact started with one person, a person who wanted to transform and transcend barriers and whose love for music and performing would be shared with hundreds of thousands around the world, forever altering the performing arts. That person is the creator, father, and founder of The Young Americans: Milton C. Anderson. Please join us in honoring the man who started it all as we immortalize his IMPACT with The Milton C. Anderson Arts Impact Award. Milt said it best: "The Young Americans has had a profound effect on communities worldwide […] Young people discover things in themselves they never knew they had. From music and collaborative performance, you learn teamwork, a sense of caring, and how it's possible to accomplish a thing of beauty with a group of people." |
