Here are the Fort Bend candidates advancing to the general election
Primary runoff elections typically rank third in excitement. The November general and March primaries usually outrank runoffs, especially in the primaries.
Last night's election, however, was the exception.
The March primaries were so action-packed that many races, including Senate, several congressional districts and even our county judge seat advanced to a runoff.
Fort Bend was especially intense. First our voting center system crashed, prompting a Republican vs. Democrat spat over extending polling times, then one of our longest-serving members of Congress was ousted and finally a county leader emerged victorious in the battle for the Democrat nominee for county judge.
Whew.
Check out my coverage for everything you need to know about the most exciting "boring" election I've ever seen.
