Beyoncé’s childhood home draws national attention, sells fast
Imagine a tour bus of fans pulling up to an open house. That was just part of the frenzy around Beyoncé’s childhood home in Riverside Terrace, which recently went under contract after being listed for $1.275 million.
Fans called from across the country, and multiple offers on the home helped the sellers snag a buyer in just about two weeks.
Aside from its celebrity appeal, the historic 4,010-square-foot home itself also reflects a broader trend in Riverside Terrace, where homeowners are balancing historic preservation and modern renovations. Built in 1935, the home also sits in a storied Houston neighborhood long known as a cultural hub for Black professionals and business leaders.
Take a look inside the home that shaped Beyoncé’s early years here.
