Texas laws prohibit new hospitals in 100-year floodplains. Ben Taub is trying to expand into one.

The planned expansion would lie completely within a mapped 100-year floodplain, meaning it carries a 1% chance of flooding in any given year.

Federal agents reported about 54,000 arrests in Texas during Trump's first nine months in office, compared to about 23,000 under Biden in a similar nine-month period.
