Dubai's culinary scene has absolutely levelled up over the past 12 months – and although it's a tough time at the moment in the restaurant industry – it's important, now more than ever, to recognise the best restaurants in Dubai.

And recognise we did... Over 500 of Dubai's top chefs and restaurateurs came together last night to celebrate their achievements across 32 cuisine categories – from budget spots to brunches worth experiencing once, and also hot and happening Japanese restaurants.

We would know, because we've spent the past year anonymously visiting and revisiting restaurants across the entire city, paying for every experience and always giving you honest reviews.
