Short-term rentals have taken hold in Houston these last few years. And with major events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming up, the demand for such lodgings won't abate anytime soon.

Not everyone is happy about that. Loud parties and safety concerns are just some of the concerns that have been raised over short-term rentals. 

So how many are there and where are they located? Well we studied the data on the nearly 3,500 rentals in Houston and mapped out their locations by neighborhood. Check out the map and you'll see that many of them are clustered in Montrose, Third Ward and the Heights.
