AWS is making a new bet on healthcare AI. Amazon Connect Health, announced Thursday, extends the company's call center platform into clinical settings, automating patient scheduling, visit documentation and medical billing codes. It's the first industry-specific version of Amazon Connect and puts AWS in competition with Microsoft's Nuance and a wave of AI scribe startups. Early users include UC San Diego Health and Amazon’s One Medical.
