Countdown to the Houston Rodeo begins as trail riders blazing the way this week
Greetings, Montgomery County friends,
Following up on last week's newsletter, the Conroe Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce delivered picture-perfect weather for the 61st Annual Go Texan Parade this past Saturday.
We can now say that the excitement for the 2026 Houston Rodeo season is stronger than ever as Houston gets ready to show off its western wear this Friday, Feb. 27 during Go Texan Day, a celebration that kicks off the season.
This week, trail rides are taking place with the final destination downtown Houston for the 2026 Houston Rodeo Downtown Parade Saturday.
You may even spot Montgomery County's Sam Houston Trail Ride there, which will makes its way down Texas 249 and into Memorial Park prior to the parade.
