Congressional District 22 was thrown into sudden campaign mode after Rep. Troy Nehls abruptly vacated the seat, triggering a rush of candidates and turning the race into one of the most crowded contests on the ballot this year.
Both political parties have flooded the field, with seven candidates stepping forward to compete for the district that represents much of Fort Bend County. For most of you, this is your congressional seat and the person elected will be your voice in Washington. With that many names in the mix, your ballot is going to look like a BINGO card.
I put together a guide to the candidates and their top priorities, so you can head to the voting booths with the information you need to wade through all the names. Check out my coverage for what you need to know about who's vying for the seat in District 22.

Last Thoughts
As the proud owner of a 100-pound German Shepherd puppy that has three functioning brain cells and regularly walks into walls, I am always impressed by the pedigreed canines in the Westminster Dog Show.
The big winner from the show was Penny, a Doberman pinscher, who always remembers where her feet are and doesn't eat rocks. I'm not saying I'm jealous, I'm just saying it must be nice having a dog that doesn't break furniture when he wags his tail. |
