Breaking News: New 911 recordings reveal the pleas of those stranded in July 4 Texas floods
The panicked calls poured in to Kerrville dispatchers long before the sun came up on July 4. In the darkness they called from across the county, as floodwaters continued to rise and rain continued to fall.
People called 911 from attics, rooftops, even treetops as the floods escalated. Here are some of them — and what happened to them after those calls.
