Time to reclaim restaurant terraces

Can you feel it?

That subtle shift in the air… Dubai's weather has finally reached cool.

Breakfast, brunch, dinner or a sunset drink – it all hits differently when your face isn't melting off.

Tables under the open sky, sunlight bouncing off the towers and just enough of a breeze to make it feel like the city's finally breathing with you.

If you were to ask me how I would spend the perfect day dining out(side) in Dubai, I would start it sipping a matcha at ORTO's stunning garden. Full of greenery, located right by the Dubai canal and chill bossa nova playing over the speakers – it's a great way to start the day.

Then I'd drive down to my favourite of the Common Grounds on Kite Beach for breakfast. Simple scrambled eggs on toast.

After a nice long walk to work up my appetite, my next stop would be Birch Bakery in Al Quoz for a lovely baked treat. The little hole-in-the-wall outdoor area is cute, and kind of unbearable in summer, so this is your only chance to comfortably check it out.

A late lunch at Tagomago will follow because it's a restaurant with easily one of the best outdoor areas in Dubai. The Spanish food here is elevated, chic and makes you feel a million miles away from the city.

Then, I'd end the night at Casa Amor at the Mandarin Oriental for a gorgeous beachside restaurant and bar experience. Here, you're getting 'la bohème' aesthetic and a tasty menu.
