The big headlines you may have missed this week

This week has been all about figuring out how much time we'll have off for Eid Al Fitr.

The UAE has officially announced that we'll get a minimum four-day long weekend regardless of whether you're a public or private sector worker. And if current astronomy predictions prove to be correct then it looks like we'll get an extra day off.

We'll just need to wait a tad longer for the moon sighting to be confirmed.

Speaking of waiting, next time you're standing at a Dubai Metro platform it could have a completely different name (a flawless transition, I'm sure you'll agree). And that's because the RTA has renamed one of its most popular stations.
