Here’s how much it could cost – Pacific Gas and Electric is asking state regulators to approve another rate hike, this time with the intent to ‘adequately compensate’ shareholders. According to PG&E, it submitted its 2026 Cost of Capital application Thursday as part of a process that happens every three years. Dixon police crack down on unsafe e-bike, e-scooter riding –A Solano County community is intensifying its efforts to curb accidents involving electric bikes (e-bikes) and electric scooters (e-scooters) after a rise in incidents, especially among teenagers. The Dixon Police Department announced it will no longer be issuing warnings to violators. Instead, riders who fail to follow safety regulations will face citations, fines and, in some cases, the impoundment of their e-bikes and e-scooters. California leaders sound off after Trump orders plan to dismantle Education Department – President Donald Trump signed an executive order calling for the dismantling of the Education Department, and California's leadership is slamming the move. President Trump announced his plan Thursday. Trump has derided the Education Department as wasteful and polluted by liberal ideology. This weekend, a connector closure along Highway 50 will impact traffic for 55 hours.
