Woodland High School teacher accused of sexual relationship with student in Monterey County – A Woodland High School English teacher was arrested after allegedly having a sexual relationship with a student while she was employed in Monterey County. The teacher was identified as Mika Yoneda, 25, who previously worked at North Monterey County High School in 2022 before leaving in 2023. She is currently employed at Woodland High School and deputies say she was taken into custody there. Read more here. Norovirus increasing presence across California – Norovirus is the leading cause of foodborne illness in the United States, responsible for 58% of such infections acquired in the country each year, according to the CDC.
