Welcome back to Houston Chronicle Live, a weekly newsletter that keeps you updated on all the live events we're hosting this week and beyond.
Tomorrow's the big day! If you haven't already, take a look at our Voter Guide, which has all the information you need to make an informed decision. After that, register for our live Zoom this Thursday with the education team, who will provide analysis and take questions on the results of the $4.4 billion HISD bond proposal.
In 2020, it took four days to "call" the presidential race, which is why we have a live Zoom with Jeremy Wallace planned for November 13. Even with a delay in results, we expect by then to know who will be our next president, and Jeremy will be here to break it down for you. More on that below.
See you this week on Zoom.

Election Day is almost here, and Houston-area voters will soon weigh in on the controversial $4.4 billion Houston ISD bond. Readers are invited to a private Zoom event at 11 a.m. CST on Thursday, November 7 with the Chronicle's education reporters to unpack Election Day results.
During the webinar, they'll discuss the controversial bond itself and explain what we can expect next if it passes or fails. We'll also cover tax rate increase elections taking place in suburban districts like Spring, Alief, Montgomery and Magnolia.
Please register here, and don't forget to submit your questions.

What happens next if the HISD bond passes? Can most schools expect to get some money right away? If it fails, will HISD try to hold another election?
Whatever the result, our education team is here to answer your HISD bond questions. Please email them to live@houstonchronicle.com and we'll try to get them addressed during our live event.

With Election Day and the holidays right around the corner, it's a challenging time for those of us with loved ones who disagree politically.
Our webinar with psychologist Dr. Alton Bozeman and psychotherapist Dr. Glenda Demas provided practical solutions on how to maintain your personal peace and bridge communication gaps. I found it fascinating to learn about "radical acceptance" and how it may be the key to a more productive relationship. If you missed it, you can watch a recording on our YouTube channel.
