Election Sale: 6 Months for 99¢Unlock access to voting resources and critical coverage. Act Now Sale Ends Nov. 5 | Cancel Anytime |
If you're feeling anxious about Election Day tomorrow, you're not alone. This editorial board is right there with you. While we're nervous about many things – the storms that might keep people from casting their vote, the ultimate outcome, and the politicos who might sow doubt in it – one thing gives us relief. We feel certain in the security and integrity of the election.
As Bill King and Charles Blain, two conservative commentators, pointed out, Harris County has had its fair share of fumbles in past elections. But improvements have been made, and they, too, feel confident that we're in good hands with elected Harris County clerk, Teneshia Hudspeth, at the helm.
Still feeling anxious? Go vote.
Over the past months, we have thoroughly reviewed each contested race in Harris County and shared our endorsements, available on the Houston Chronicle Voter Guide. We have also prepared a clear, printable summary list for your convenience since phones are not allowed in the voting booth. We are eagerly anticipating the results over the next several days and look forward to providing thoughtful analysis on the outcomes.
So make your plan to head to the polls if you have not done so already. Your participation in this democratic process is invaluable. Make your voice heard.
