Donald Trump defeats Vice President Kamala Harris in Texas
Texas voters chose Donald Trump to be president of the United States for a third straight time, following a campaign in which he promised to slash income taxes, turn the Justice Department on his political enemies and deport the millions of migrants who are living in the country illegally.
He defeated Vice President Kamala Harris by a comfortable margin Tuesday night, giving Trump claim to 40 electoral college votes that will be critical to his effort to retake the White House.
