Welcome back to Houston Chronicle Live, a weekly newsletter that keeps you updated on all the live events we're hosting this week and beyond.

Tomorrow we're hosting a live Zoom event with our Editorial Board to discuss their endorsements and the key races and issues you'll be voting on as early as next week. Many of you are already acquainted with the one and only Lisa Falkenberg, our Pulitzer Prize-winning Opinion editor, so you know it's going to be a good one.

And if you're finding that this charged election season is creating uncomfortable, difficult situations with family or friends who disagree politically, we're hosting a special live virtual event next week with two local therapists. More on that below.

See you tomorrow on Zoom!

Together, they will discuss key issues and races that Houstonians will be voting on this November, including their candidate endorsements and recommendation regarding the controversial $4.4 billion Houston ISD bond.

Whether you disagree with the Editorial Board's endorsements or find yourself nodding along to every Opinion piece, you won't want to miss this one. Register here.

As Election Day draws near, do you find yourself in difficult situations with family or friends? Chronicle readers are invited to a private Zoom event at 12 p.m. CST on October 23 with psychologist Dr. Alton Bozeman and psychotherapist Dr. Glenda Demas on how to navigate this charged election season with loved ones who disagree politically.

During the webinar, we'll discuss maintaining personal peace and bridging communications gaps, in addition to an interactive portion where our therapists will weigh in on anonymously submitted questions.
