Texas judge OKs lawmakers' bid to delay Roberson execution
A Travis County judge has allowed Texas lawmakers to subpoena Robert Roberson to appear for a hearing next week, effectively delaying his execution, which was set to take place at 6 p.m.
The order and the subpoena from lawmakers was an extraordinary and last-ditch effort to buy more time for Roberson, who was convicted and sentenced to death for the killing of his 2-year-old daughter.
