Ninja Ramen is fighting to stay open as Houston restaurants face a tough year

Ninja Ramen — a small, ramshackle restaurant and bar on Washington Avenue — lost $45,000 last year. After this year's severe weather, 2024 isn't shaping up to be much better. 

Ninja Ramen's Christopher Huang manages to keep a smile on his face while exhausting all his efforts for the restaurant/bar. 

The Houston Chronicle took a closer look at the stressors the restaurant industry is facing through the lens of Ninja Ramen.
