We've been busy planning a full slate of exciting virtual events this summer, so we're taking a short break from Zoom this week.
Next week, however, is an exciting one if you're a native or longtime Houstonian like me. Thirty years ago this month, the Houston Rockets won their first NBA championship, and we're going to relive that triumph with two key players from that team, Matt Bullard and Mario Elie. More on that below.

Chronicle readers are invited to a private Zoom to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Rockets' first NBA championship, with former players Mario Elie and Matt Bullard.
They'll be joined with Rockets beat reporter Jonathan Feigen and sports editor Reid Laymance, both of whom covered the winning season for the Chronicle in 1993-94.
In addition to our usual panel discussion and reader Q&A, we've scoured the Chronicle photo archives to find rare and exclusive images that we'll present, with live commentary from our VIP guests.
