What's the best destination for summer fun in Katy?

It's no secret that Katy is the unofficial fun suburb of Houston.

We're home to water parks, entertainment venues, AI-driven sports facilities, theaters and shopping centers. On top of that, every day, it seems, we've got a new business coming to the area that's designed entirely for amusement.

Since we're well into summer, I thought we should put together a reader-submitted guide to the best destinations for summer fun in Katy.

Where do you go to take a break or beat the heat? Share your opinions with your fellow readers so we can all maximize our summer vacation in Katy.

Submit your suggestions with our online reader poll, and I'll put together a Katy Insider's guide to Katy summer fun.

One last thing ...

The new world's largest Buc-ee's is officially open, my co-reporter Peter Warren tells us.

That Buc-ee's may be the largest in the world, but our Katy Buc-ee's still holds the "Guiness Book of World Records" title for largest car wash, so I think we're still the best.
