Drake sets down Texas roots near Houston

While some may argue that hip-hop artist Drake is losing his battle with Kendrick Lamar –  he's certainly winning when it comes to snapping up Houston-area real estate.

Rumors swirled for months about where Drake purchased a home in the metro – after announcing  last fall his plans to move to the city – and now we finally have confirmation that his Houston area home is actually more than an hour outside downtown in Washington County.

An entity tied to Drake bought a 313-acre ranch for $15 million late last year. The sprawling site was once home to an iconic resort that was known to be a getaway for city slickers from Houston and Austin.  Take a peek inside Drake's idyllic countryside estate  – which has a 42-acre organic farm, a massive horseback riding arena and 7,000 bottle-wine cellar.

And, speaking of celebrity real estate: if you want to see how a former Super Bowl MVP lives, check out this former NFL Player's home in Cypress that just hit the market this week.

While Houston is no L.A., it's fun to see the occasional star-studded deal cross my desk!
