Houston ISD saw passing rate increases compared with last year on state end-of-course exams, but it still lags behind statewide performance.

"The kitten was brought to the Houston SPCA Animal Hospital for care, but due to the severity of her injuries, she was humanely euthanized," Houston SPCA wrote on Facebook.
