Houston and its suburbs have seen more breweries pop up each year since 2013.
(Senate Bill 639, approved in 2013, allowed producers with a brewpub license to sell their beer to go, directly to consumers.)
Brewpubs around the city are more than beer sellers-- there is often live music on-site, tours giving visitors insight into the brewing process and even family-friendly full-service restaurants, writes our colleague Chevall Pryce.
Fulbrook Ale Works and Braman Winery in Richmond and Texas Leaguer Brewing in Missouri City made the list.
