Amazon sorting center in Stockton closing – Workers at an Amazon sorting center in Stockton are being offered opportunities to transfer to a new site as their own facility prepares to close. The sort center is near Newcastle Road, and operations are expected to end at the end of July. According to Amazon, the lease at the sorting facility is expiring this year, but for the workers, they'll be able to transfer to different facilities in Stockton, Tracy and Manteca.
