Welcome to the Week in Review
Welcome
There’s nothing like a good TechRadar feature to offer some much-needed inspiration. This week, I read Matt Hanson’s experiment in using the IPad Pro 13-inch (M4) as a laptop and, so I’ve decided to address you through the same device. It’s always nice to see how technology converges to a usable middle.

Working on the iPad puts me in a WWDC frame of mind, as does all the rumor news about the upgrades we can expect to see to iOS, iPadOS, and Apple’s other platforms. Most of that news relates to AI, and Apple’s possible partnership with OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT.

Apple is keeping mum as always before a big event, but we’re certain that AI will be the overarching focus, with a possible Siri rejuvenation on the horizon. I’ll be at the event – and now I wonder if I should be preparing with some help from our Fitness writer Harry Bullmore, who’s been entertaining me all week with his various feats of strength and endurance (all with the help of tech, naturally). I’ll need his kind of stamina to cover all that news.

AI is overwhelming everything right now, and now it appears that even the most exciting phone launches won’t be that exciting in the future, because the biggest changes will probably come in the form of generative AI tricks.

With all this news, I wonder how I’ll find time to chill this summer and catch the blockbuster movies and returning streaming hits like The Bear – perhaps that’s how I should be killing time when I’m flying between tech events, rather than working (makes mental note).

But enough about my fitness and scheduling issues – the best of the past week is below, and it’s just a taste of what’s to come in the next few weeks. Thanks for riding along with us, and enjoy the weekend.
