  Man stabbed while trying to stop fight in North Highlands – A man, who law enforcement says tried to stop a fight between two people outside a North Highlands shopping center, was hospitalized after being stabbed Friday morning. The sheriff’s office says an employee of a nearby business confronted a homeless man in the parking lot, trying to get him to leave. It led to a fight and two people nearby stepped in trying to help. The sheriff’s office says the homeless man stabbed one of the people trying to help at least twice.
