Who's on first? It's not just an Abbott and Costello skit but also one of the key questions facing the Astros as they hit the road for seven games on the West Coast beginning tonight in Oakland. What does Houston's sub-.500 record at the 50-game mark mean? Perhaps not much if you look at some recent World Series participants.

Baseball's top international event is coming to Houston in two years as World Baseball Classic games will be played at Minute Maid Park in 2026.

Texas A&M's baseball team was bounced from the SEC tournament Thursday but it may not mean much for the Aggies when it comes to the NCAA tournament.

A&M football coach Mike Elko spoke Thursday night in Houston and said others are "jealous" of the Aggies and their spirit.

Katy, the nation's top-ranked high school softball team, is facing elimination after a walk-off loss to Kingwood in the opener of their regional final.

Stat of the day: 7. Consecutive Game 1 losses in playoff series for the Dallas Stars after Thursday's double-overtime defeat against Edmonton. The last time the Stars won a Game 1 was against Tampa Bay in the 2020 Stanley Cup Final, which they lost in six games.
