20-game evaluation
Rotation holes and spotty late-inning relief are never a good combination. And then there's a first baseman who's forgotten how to hit. Matt Kawahara looks at some of the factors behind the Astros' 6-14 start.
- Time is of the essence: An Astros team that's had so much success can fall into a rut of expecting good things to happen rather than making them happen. But these games won't win themselves, writes Jerome Solomon.
- Astros at Nationals preview: Budding star C.J. Abrams leads a Nats team whose 33 stolen bases rank second in the majors as they host the Astros for three games starting tonight.
- Party like it's 2019: If the Astros want to forget their stunning 2019 World Series loss, the Nationals will not make it easy this weekend as they celebrate their lone title.

The deal with Diggs
Texans general manager Nick Caserio says it is unfair to label a player and is confident in Houston's environment for four-time Pro Bowl receiver Stefon Diggs.
- Different calculus: After striking first-round gold with C.J. Stroud and Will Anderson a year ago, Nick Caserio aims to find later value, starting with the 42nd overall pick.
- Sneak peek via leak? Just a few days before the Texans reveal their four new uniforms that include three helmets are officially unveiled, one of the helmets may have leaked.
