Check out the most expensive homes in Houston's suburbs

I was a girly-girl. I wanted to be a princess, and eventually a queen, and live in a beautiful castle with lots of servants.

I was focused on the ruling too-- I wanted advisors and magicians and, most importantly, 11 printing presses so I could tell my subjects what to think.

I was weirdly partial to the number 11 when I was little, partly because the 11 times tables were easy and mainly because one plus one equaled two, my birthdate.

Anyway, I grew up and realized castles like the one I had in mind didn't really exist—until I came here.

My colleague Chevall Pryce put together a list of the priciest properties on the market in Houston suburbs.

Eleven homes, incidentally.

Look at the one in Sugar Land, it could give any fairytale castle a run for its money.

Which one is your favorite?

Eighth grade Thornton Middle School students Corinne Eastman and Veronica Drouin placed among the top 30 finalists for their artwork, Apple of My Eye and Mingus, respectively.

One last thing ...

Ever wonder what those white lines were in the sky? My colleague Ryan Nickerson has written an interesting article about the conspiracy theory behind contrails.
