Popular Chicago-based hot dog chain Portillo's is planning to open two locations in the Houston area. Portillo's is known for its Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches and burgers.
Openings and closings
California-based Urban Skillet has a new location near Cypress at 10130 Grant Road. According to the company's social media page this restaurant was expected to open March 8. Urban Skillet is a Halal restaurant that offers several menu items including its Blazin Chicken that includes Nashville battered fried chicken breast, urban sauce, cheese, coleslaw and hot sauce. |

Congrats out to CFISD athletes who earned District 16-6A girls league honors this year. Several athletes were named to the list including Cypress Lakes High School's Aniah Alexis, Cypress Falls' Raquel Hawk, and many more athletes throughout the district. |
