Did you see the horse on 610? It was a creative way to beat Houston Rodeo traffic.

What would you do if you were stuck in traffic on your way to the Houston Rodeo?

Most of us would just have to exercise patience as we crank up the radio, but 29-year old Marty Yates had a different idea.

Yates, who was competing in a tie-down roping competition later that evening, hopped on his horse Cyndy and maneuvered through traffic on Interstate 610 near Fannin Street.

Fortunately, it worked out. The Stephenville native made it to the semi-finals and secured his spot at the finals with a score of 8.1 seconds and $3,000, Sports Illustrated reported.

What's the most creative way you've beaten traffic in Houston?

Fifteen years ago, a group of teen heartthrobs took the stage at the Houston Rodeo.

Today, those guys will return to the rotating stage almost as elder statesmen with a wealth of music experience.

The Jonas Brothers should perform their classic hits and several songs from their new project "The Album," which was released in 2023.
