Here's how to stay safe and dry if heavy rain arrives at the Houston Rodeo

It could be a rainy week, with showers projected on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. The week long forecast got me thinking about what would happen at the rodeo if Houston experienced severe weather.

Fortunately, our newsroom meteorologist Justin Ballard has the answer.

He spoke with Mike DeMarco, the chief show operations officer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and got all of the details. DeMarco discussed the protocols in place and the tools rodeo staff has to notify attendees of incoming weather.

Check out their discussion about safety during inclement weather.
