All construction sites look like a jumble of assorted pieces until they take shape and start making sense.
Great Wolf Lodge Gulf Coast, the biggest development right now in Webster, is starting to look like fun.
The Great Wolf Lodge resort has entered that phase where, as General Manager Keith Furnas said, it will become "more interesting and more exciting" to people driving by or seeing it from afar.
They've already started to assemble pieces of a slide, the first hint of what's to come, he said, and in the next few weeks, construction crews will focus on putting the rest of the 95,000 square foot water park together, one of the resort's anchor attractions.
Great Wolf has more than 20 locations nationwide, but the Webster location is only the second in Texas.
It's a $200 million-plus investment to the Bay Area, and that's a big deal if you live in or near the Bay Area because the new sites and attractions continue to multiply.
The next time you happen to drive by that formerly empty lot off the Gulf Freeway and south of the NASA Bypass, you might start noticing the pieces coming together on a new family staycation - and Great Wolf is now taking reservations.
