Shelter in place issued for La Porte residents due to chemical emergency

La Porte residents were being told to immediately shelter in place after a chemical emergency was announced at Altivia Monday afternoon. The City of La Porte said residents south of Fairmont between the Bay Area and South 16th Street needed to take shelter at the nearest building and close doors and windows and turn off cooling and heating systems.
