HISD eliminates early dismissal for high schoolers during finals week

In a change from previous years, Houston ISD high schools will not be releasing students from school early during final exam days in the spring and fall semesters of this school year.

TPWD warns releasing self-cloning marbled crawfish into the wild could cause major problems

The crawfish species can reproduce via self-cloning. Additionally, the entire species is female, and the State of Michigan reports that marbled crayfish "have the ability to lay up to 700 unfertilized eggs."
