Where to go horseback riding in Cypress and throughout Houston suburbs.

Why won't you ever find a horse using an Android phone? Ok, ok no horse jokes today. When I first moved to Houston from Missouri, seeing horses was a big culture shock to me. As I have spent more time in the Houston area I've noticed more horses are literally a Texas thing that you can't escape.

I haven't ever considered riding a horse in my 24 years of life. However, for you reading this, it may be a different story. Houston Chronicle staff reporter Chevall Pryce, was able to put together a list of places to go horse riding throughout the Houston area.

Whether you are a beginner or expert, this list is for all levels. If you are looking to give horse riding a shot, Cypress's Callegari Equestrian Center has more than 55 miles of trail around Cypress Creek and amenities on your next visit.

Even if you are near the Towne Lake area West Stables is also full of space with its two arenas, barn, and pastures for horse riding. West Stables offers lessons for up to an hour per session and allows you to bring your own horse.
